GWENT's Winter Event is now up and running with new and returning items, sales, Pine Cones and a very special item celebrating the launch of The Witcher series' second season.
It's that most particular time of year when most games throw a special something for players to enjoy the season of cheer and GWENT: The Witcher Card Game is no different. CD project Red just announced that the annual Winter Event is now live in GWENT. The event will be available until January 11, 12:00 CET.
GWENT's Winter Event will give the players a chance to s(t)ock up on the unique in-game resource: Pine Cones. The players can score the Pine Cones by logging in every day, completing daily quests, as well as winning matches in Standard, Seasonal, and Draft game modes. Players can use the acquired Pine Cones to get their hands on some themed cosmetics including cardbacks, avatars and borders, titles, a leader and a coin skin, all available via a dedicated page in the Reward Book.
Players who call themselves proud owners of the Geralt leader skin will be able to accept a couple of special contracts during the event. The two contracts will reward those who complete them with equippable Red Hat and Candy Sword trinkets for Geralt. Those who are still to add Geralt to their collection of leaders can purchase the witcher’s legendary neutral leader skin.
To celebrate the release of The Witcher series' second season, a free Geralt-leader-skin-exclusive sword inspired by the show is available until January 13.
GWENT's in-game store is currently home to a special sale hosted by Shupe the Troll. The sale features the Midwinter Bundle and Frozen Bundle, both filled with merry items, as well as the Yule Board.
