ArenaNet is letting players trade more gear sets and is thus making them more available. On top of that, some materials will now be cheaper, making the crafting easier in the future.
Guild Wars 2's Icebrood Saga is not exactly going in the direction the players were hoping since the Dragon Response Missions are still the main focus of these updates but ArenaNet is giving the community some amazing changes in other areas.
The main quality of life improvement for commanders all over Tyria will be the gear sets that are now tradeable, as opposed to requiring crafting. This includes some popular stat sets such as Viper's and Marauder which will make gearing up alt characters much easier. More importantly, this change will make endgame content that more approachable for new players.
Full list of newly tradeable stat sets in Guild Wars 2 is:
- Celestial
- Commander's
- Crusader
- Grieving (trinkets only, as there are no crafted exotic weapons or armor with this attribute prefix)
- Marauder
- Minstrel's
- Nomad's
- Seraph (armor and weapons only, as there are no crafted exotic trinkets with this attribute prefix)
- Sinister
- Trailblazer's
- Vigilant
- Viper's
- Wanderer's
- Zealot's
Linseed Oil will also require 25 per cent less materials to be crafted, which will further reduce the entry barrier for some gear sets as the prices on the trading post are expected to go down.
On the crafting side, base crafting time for cloth, metal, wood and leather refinement is down by 50 per cent, which should make crafting close to twice as fast overall.
While these are some of the best changes Guild Wars 2 received in the last few years, there are some other awesome patch notes , such as the increased drop rate for Khan-Ur and easier ways to obtain other infusions.
