GTA Trilogy Remastered probably won't release in 2021, claims reliable industry insider Tom Henderson. Apparently, 2022 launch is a more realistic scenario.
Rumour has it that Rockstar are working on GTA Trilogy Remastered project, which, as the name suggests includes three GTA games with new fancy visuals and other major improvements. Some reports stated that these games include GTA III, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas, which are some of the most beloved games in Rockstar's legendary franchise.
Apparently, the remasters would be using the Unreal Engine with noticeable visual improvements, which have been described as "GTA with mods". The reports also stated that GTA Trilogy Remastered would be launching sometime later this year but according to well-known insider Tom Henderson, the release is more likely to happen in 2022.
"I wasn't going to mention the GTA Remastered Trilogy, because everything I've heard has been covered - The only difference is that I don't believe the launch time frame is correct. Sometime in 2022," Henderson tweeted.
If Henderson's sources are correct, we assume the trilogy was scheduled to release in 2021 but got pushed back to 2022 due to the ongoing pandemic.
Of course, we always suggest you take the leaked info and rumours with a grain of salt, just like any other unconfirmed report regarding this release. Until officially announced by Rockstar, this is all just speculation.
