Developed by Counterplay Games, the upcoming looter-slasher Godfall will first launch for PlayStation 5 and PC. The game will become available to players on other consoles in mid-2021.
Godfall's PlayStation 5 launch trailer went live on November 5. The video features a blend of the game's cinematics, as well as gameplay, captured on PlayStation 5.
The fans are excited to get their hands on the game but some will have to wait longer than others. The launch trailer has clued us in that Godfall will be a timed exclusive for PlayStation 5 and PC.
The anticipated game will not be available on the other consoles until at least May 12, 2021, which is exactly six months after its planned debut on November 12, 2020.
Godfall's publisher, Gearbox, will be free to distribute the game on other console platforms - namely the Xbox Series X and S when the six months of PlayStation 5 and PC exclusivity come to a close.
The game is based on Unreal Engine 4 tech so it can be within the realm of possibilities that the Switch users could play it. No official news regarding this has been shared with the public at the time of writing.
Godfall is an action RPG that will hopefully provide a fresh take on third-person action combat, rewarding skill-based offensive gameplay and making every hit matter.
Advertised as looter-slasher, the game will let its players face challenging missions that will offer character upgrades and loot that could change your gameplay.
The game's bosses and enemies have been designed with co-op in mind so they come equipped with special abilities that counter multiple combatants attacking from different angles. If you're more of a lone wolf when it comes to it, you can always go on a solo adventure.
More information about the game can be found on its official website .
