According to reliable insider Dusk Golem, God of War will be one of the most graphically impressive games to date. Currently, it's targeting Autumn 2021 release date but it's expected to slip back to 2022 due to COVID-19 impact.
Earlier this month, Sony officially revealed the next God of War game titled Ragnarok. Sadly, we didn't see much, not even a cinematic teaser since everything Sony decided to show was a logo for the game. However, today, we have some interesting new details, coming from a reliable industry insider Dusk Golem.
Since this is far from official news, we suggest you take everything you are about to read with a grain of salt. That being said, Dusk Golem is proved to be a reliable source, revealing a ton of Resident Evil Village details before the trailer dropped earlier this year.
Dusk Golem claims that God of War: Ragnarok will be one of the most graphically impressive games to date, which is not really surprising since Sony and their first-party studios always deliver top-notch visuals.
He adds that the game is currently targeting Autumn 2021 release date but there's a high possibility that it will be delayed to 2021, due to COVID-19 impact.
"The game will be one of the most graphically impressive games to date, it also is targeting a Fall 2021 release. but it almost definitely will slip back to 2022, COVID did impact dev heavily," he wrote.
Furthermore, he states that God of War: Ragnarok will probably be PlayStation 5 title since the team is pushing for high graphical fidelity. Sony previously confirmed they will support PlayStation 4 for up to four years after PS5 launch but it will be interesting to see if they will release their biggest titles on the old console, which could hold back the development.
All in all, this God of War: Ragnarok info certainly sounds exciting and we cannot wait to get our hands on Kratos' next adventure.
