Sony's big exclusive God of War: Ragnarok is seemingly set for a release in the second part of 2022.

You may recall that God of War: Ragnarok was initially announced as a 2021 game but no one actually believed that SIE Santa Monica Studio would be able to release the game that year after only showing a logo during the reveal.

The delay was soon announced by Sony who pushed the game to 2022. We still don't know when exactly God of War is scheduled to launch in 2022 but according to a leaked placeholder date, Kratos' next adventure will arrive to PS4 and PS5 in September 2022.

The date was found in the PlayStation store database and it's entirely possible that this is just a placeholder so definitely take it with a grain of salt. Though, it does seem that God of War won't be launching earlier in 2022 since we haven't really seen much of the game. And given that God of War is a pretty massive title for Sony, you can bet they plan to show a lot of the game before the official release.

If we had to guess, we would say that God of War Ragnarok is probably coming during the 2022 Holiday season but don't be surprised if we see another delay. Game development continues to be an extremely challenging task with the Covid pandemic still around.

God of War is coming exclusively to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
