God of War is off to a great start on Steam, reaching over 70.000 concurrent players and 97 per cent positive reviews.
Another big PlayStation exclusive launched on PC via Steam last week as Sony are continuing to port more and more of their first-party games to the new platform.
PlayStation exclusives that launched on PC so far such as Days Gone and Horizon Forbidden West, have been met with positive reception and Santa Monica Studio's God of War is no different.
Kratos' adventure hit more than 70,000 concurrent players on Steam which is a record for Sony's games on Steam. On top of this, God of War is the highest-rated Sony game on PC with 97 per cent positive reviews.
Also, it's the best PC port from Sony yet. Both Days Gone and Horizon Forbidden West, especially the latter, had performance issues on launch but God of War seems to be flawless in terms of frame-rate and overall PC performance.
God of War was initially released in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and it's getting a sequel titled Ragnarok sometime this year. It remains to be seen if Sony port Ragnarok to PC, too, but given that more and more PlayStation exclusives are coming to the PC platform lately, we assume it's only a matter of time before Ragnarok is announced for Steam.
