Ghost Recon: Breakpoint has had somewhat of a rocky start and delaying The Terminator live event was part of it, with it being moved to 'the end of January'. Now, Ubisoft dropped the trailer and it launches in two days, i.e. 29 January 2020.
In fact, Terminator-themed live event for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint was announced way back at E3 2019, but the studio's subsequent troubles led to the announcement in December that players will have to wait until the end of January.
So, it's the end of January and Ubisoft indeed delivered, although we're sure players would've liked if Ubisoft didn't leave it so late. Still, no broken promises there at least.
As for the Terminator live event itself, the description on the reads "The future is almost here." The last we've heard of them in this regard is back when they announced the Title Update 1.1.0, where Ubisoft's official website just wrote, "In addition to the Title Update, the Terminator Live Event will be invading Ghost Recon Breakpoint soon. Be on the lookout for more intel!"
So, we're yet to learn what Ubisoft actually have in store, but knowing the Terminator lore, whatever ends up in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is likely to take a whole lot of punishment before it's put down. In which capacity it will arrive, though, seems to be anyone's guess at the moment.
In the meantime, Ubisoft also announced that the Title Update 1.1.0 lands on 28 January 2020, and we'll be getting into the patch notes in a minute so stay tuned.
