The addition of a new character is probably the most exciting thing a casual Genshin Impact player is looking forward to, especially in the latter stages of the game when there aren't as many quests and events to enjoy.
miHoYo has already announced a couple of new characters on their official social media accounts. Those characters include Thoma, Kokomi and Aloy. All of these characters are expected to come in the foreseeable future. Raiden Shogun and Kokomi are expected to appear as the main five-star characters in the upcoming update 2.1.
So far the only elemental reaction that includes Dendro is Burning. The grass is considered a Dendro object and will spread the burn effect around the area. The fact that this element only interacts with Pyro might be one of the reasons why we haven't seen a Dendro character yet. It would surely require a major change to the elemental reaction fighting mechanics of the game.
A couple of interesting leaks on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit have revealed that one of the upcoming characters, Yelan, could become the first character to use the Dendro Vision. So far we don't have many information about this new character.
The official Genshin Impact Twitter account has already made clear that Thoma is probably the next character to be released. Recent leaks have revealed a bunch of interesting characters like Gorou, Tohma, Yae Miko and others. Even though we have no official confirmation, the majority of leaks claim that he's going to be a Pyro character. Also, the overall theme of his design strongly hints towards a Pyro character.
Tohma is a Polearm user which makes him the third Pyro character that uses the same weapon. There is no official information, nor credible leaks revealing Tohma's rarity. Many players are speculating that he could become a slightly weaker, four-star version of Hu Tao. Even if those rumours were true, miHoYo could still mix things up considering that he's one of, if not the most popular upcoming character.
