The addition of a new character is probably the most exciting thing a casual Genshin Impact player is looking forward to, especially in the latter stages of the game when there aren't as many quests and events to enjoy.
A recent leak on the popular Genshin Impact leaks subreddit has revealed the in-game model for one of the upcoming characters - Yelan. She's apparently confirmed to be a Hydro bow character, just like Tartaglia. Another Genshin Impact leak may reveal her Elemental Skill and Burst:
- Elemental Skill - allows Yean to dodge by sending five hydro cards to the ground
- Elemental Burst - Yelan sends his wealth through a typhoon that sucks in all nearby enemies; The typhoon applies hydro damage over time
Even though Yae Miko was not even released yet, the official Genshin Impact Twitter account had already announced the arrival of another popular character, the long-awaited Kamisato Ayato. He is Ayaka's brother and the head of the Kamisato clan.
Ayato is expected to be a Hydro character meaning that he should have great synergy with his sister Ayaka who's a Cryo user. His weapon of choice will be the sword and he will be the second Hydro sword user after Xingqiu. According to most leaks, he should arrive in update 2.6 which, according to miHoYo's usual update schedule should drop around April 10.
