A recent Genshin Impact leak has revealed that update 2.4 will bring three banner re-runs. miHoYo has previously confirmed two new polearm characters - Shenhe and Yun Jin.
Genshin Impact update 2.3 has introduced a brand new banner mechanic which allows players to choose between two limited character banners in the same update cycle. This could be the way that miHoYo decides to introduce banner re-runs in the future since it compensates for the absence of a new five-star character.
The official Genshin Impact Twitter has already announced two brand new characters, Shenhe and Yun Jin. Shenhe is expected to be a five-star character and Yun Jin will apparently have a lower rarity. Both of them are expected to arrive on the same banner.
A recent post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed that update 2.4 will bring three banner re-runs which means that we will have four banners, one new character and three re-runs. One of those characters is rumored to be the famous Geo Archon - Zhongli.
miHoYo
Zhongli didn't receive much love when he was initially released a couple of months due to the lack of damage and shield power he provided. Luckily enough, miHoYo decided to give him some buffs at the start of update 1.3 because he's the Geo Archon after all. He quickly went from "being useless" to becoming one of the strongest characters in a game and a must-have for any late-game team composition.
