The official Genshin Impact social media accounts have finally revealed the release dates for the upcoming Version 2.2 Special Program. Those events usually go over the content we will be able to go through over the next six or seven weeks.
The addition of a new character is probably the most exciting thing a casual Genshin Impact player is looking forward to, especially in the latter stages of the game when there aren't as many quests and events to enjoy.
Players should tune in to see which new characters will cross the Traveler's path in the new islands of Inazuma. As per usual we will get to see all the upcoming events alongside its mini-games.
The official Genshin Impact Twitter account has already made clear that Thoma is probably the next character to be released. Recent leaks have revealed a bunch of interesting characters like Gorou, Tohma, Yae Miko and others. Even though we have no official confirmation, the majority of leaks claim that he's going to be a Pyro character. Also, the overall theme of his design strongly hints towards a Pyro character.
According to the leaks, Tohma is a Polearm user which would make him the third Pyro character that uses the same weapon. He's expected to be a weaker, four-star version of Hu Tao. This could still be changed considering that characters like Albedo (sword) were rumoured to be bow users.
There is no official information, nor credible leaks revealing Tohma's rarity. Many players are speculating that he could become a slightly weaker, four-star version of Hu Tao. Even if those rumours were true, miHoYo could still mix things up considering that he's one of, if not the most popular upcoming character.
