Multiple updates by popular Genshin Impact leakers have hinted that Childe will most likely be featured on one of the upcoming banners in the following update.
Genshin Impact updates 2.0 and 2.1 have brought much-needed fresh content after all the previous banner re-runs which kind of felt like filler updates. After numerous new characters like Ayaka, Yoimiya, Raiden Shogun and Sara, we could expect a character drought for the foreseeable future.
A couple of days ago post from a credible Genshin Impact leaker called abc64 has leaked that we will apparently see two banner re-runs, the first cycle featuring Hu Tao and the second one will bring Childe.
Previously, a couple of leaks on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit have apparently revealed the cropped promotional art for the upcoming update 2.2. The picture features the famous Hydro bow character - Tartaglia, better known as Childe.
A recent leak apparently confirms that Childe will be the first banner character featured in update 2.2. The update will arrive around October 16.
This would be Childe's third banner appearance which would make him the first character to have two banner re-runs. His previous re-run was in Genshin Impac Version 1.4 which was released a couple of months ago.
It's safe to say that he's probably one of the hardest characters in the game right now thanks to his diverse playstyle and cooldown management. This can actually be a good thing since it's not uncommon for most DPS characters to become a bit monotonous. If we exclude all the elemental reaction combos made by all of your party members, the fighting mechanics of one character are very simple.
