A credible leak on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks subreddit has revealed that one of the most popular characters named Gorou could make an appearance in update 2.3.
The addition of a new character is probably the most exciting thing a casual Genshin Impact player is looking forward to, especially in the latter stages of the game when there aren't as many quests and events to enjoy.
The official Genshin Impact Twitter account has already made clear that Thoma is probably the next character to be released. Recent leaks have revealed a bunch of interesting characters like Gorou, Tohma, Yae Miko and others. Even though we have no official confirmation, the majority of leaks claim that he's going to be a Pyro character. Also, the overall theme of his design strongly hints towards a Pyro character.
A credible leak on the Genshin Impact on the Genshin_Impact_Leaks apparently confirms that a new character Gorou could appear in Genshin Impact update 2.3 which should appear around December 5. Even though we have no official confirmation, Gorou is expected to be a new Geo character, at least according to all the leaks.
According to the leaks, Gorou is a Bow user which would make him the first Geo character with a bow. This could still be changed considering that characters like Albedo (sword) were rumoured to be bow users.

Gorou is rumoured to be mentioned in some of Kazuha's voice lines. He is apparently the leader of the resistance against the Inazuma Shogun. There is no official information nor leaks about Gorou's rarity.
