Genshin Impact leak reveals more information about Dendro reactions

Recent leaks on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit have revealed more information about the long-awaited Dendro element which should arrive along the popular region named Chasm.

There is a total of seven different elements in Genshin Impact , all of which are attached to the game's character, except one. We are yet to see a playable Dendro element user in the world of Teyvat.

So far the only elemental reaction that includes Dendro is Burning. The grass is considered a Dendro object and will spread the burn effect around the area. The fact that this element only interacts with Pyro might be one of the reasons why we haven't seen a Dendro character yet. It would surely require a major change to the elemental reaction fighting mechanics of the game.

A recent leak on the popular Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed additional information about the Dendro element:

  • Dendro does not trigger the Swirl elemental reactions
  • Electro + Dendro - reduces enemy's Defense
  • Dendro supports increase Elemental Mastery
  • Pyro characters will become broken because of the Burning elemental reaction
  • Hydro + Dendro will be the strongest elemental reaction with Dendro

Back in November a couple of leaks hinted that there is already at least one Dendro character in the making. According to a credible Genshin Impact leaker called Zeniet  , Yaoyao was already in development back then. 

Even though she's many fans expect her to be a five-star character considering that she will most likely be the first Dendro character in the game, many leaks  are confirming that she will be a four-star, obtainable through quests just like the starting six also known as the free-to-play characters. It would make sense since the game gave us a free character of each element.
