Brace yourselves - winter is coming. Oops, wrong franchise, I mean Galactus is coming. Epic Games announced that The Devourer of Worlds is coming to Fortnite in December.
"Uhhh… is that the Devourer of Worlds on the horizon? That’s not good!
It was only a matter of time. Galactus is closing in on the Island and the fate of all Reality lies in the balance. Join the ultimate fight against Galactus in the one-time only Nexus War finale event on Tuesday, December 1 at 4 PM ET."
Epic stressed that this is one Fortnite event you don't want to miss, and gave some guidelines to ensure everyone gets on board when Galactus arrives.
First and foremost, Fortnite: Battle Royale's run-in with Galactus will require the update 14.60, which is already available, so if you haven't done so, you should go and do it as soon as possible. Epic also reminded that the game's integration with Houseparty means you can have live video chat in Fortnite's PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions.
As it tends to happen on Fortnite's events, the crowd will come in numbers so it's best to show up early if possible.
"We’ve taken measures to ensure more people can attend the event, but we still recommend everyone log into Fortnite at least 60 minutes prior to the event start. The event playlist is expected to go live 30 minutes prior to the start time", Epic wrote.
The company said they're working with partners to ensure content creators can share the Galactus event, and they'll have more info soon. Additionally, replays won't be available once the event is over, so you may want to capture it locally or via streams.
