Although Epic are sticking to their guns when it comes to not releasing patch notes for Fortnite, the latest data mining efforts suggest some sweet giveaways on the horizon.
The news comes from Fortnite leakster and data miner going by the Twitter handle VastBlastt, whose latest tweet reads:
"Fornite x Disney+ Collab Strings: NEW LOWER PRICES! POWER UP WITH DISNEY+
From now through Dec 31 2020, purchase V-Bucks or make any real money purchase in the Item Shop, and get up to 2 months of Disney+ on us."
So, it appears that not only are Fortnite: Battle Royale getting cheaper gear, they also have a chance to win two months of Disney+. The freebie sub should be particularly appealing to those who haven't yet seen The Mandalorian, which is exclusive to the service and is well known for relying heavily on Epic's Unreal Engine.
Of course, Disney and Epic have already brought us more crossovers than the 90s, what with Marvel superheroes, John Wick, and so on, and it's safe to expect even more onwards. In fact, the Ghost Rider Cup kicks off on November 4, 2020, and it traditionally comes with the Ghost Rider cosmetics.
Fortnite's new Cup is played in Trios and it's basically Marvel Knockout LTM. Note that you need 2-Factor Authentication and at least account level 30 to participate.
As for Fortnite: Battle Royale's v14.50 update, Epic only posted the Fortnite Creative patch notes, but data miners have uncovered the return of Jetpacks, after a lengthy absence from the game. We're talking about regular chest items that let you soar through the air for a short time. Additionally, expect the usual influx of fresh cosmetics, and the data mines suggest we're getting the Joker and Poison Ivy by the end of the month.
