Marvel's X-Men '97 is coming to Fortnite with the latest update on April 23. As a celebration of the latest season of X-Men '97, Marvel and Fortnite are collaborating to bring in new X-Men-themed Rocket Racing skins and more.
Fortnite and Marvel have collaborated since Chapter 1, with the inclusion of Thanos in Stark Industries becoming a major plot point of the main Fortnite storyline. Since Disney's $1.5 billion equity stake in Epic Games, Fortnite has become the largest platform for bringing all Disney franchises under one roof, including Marvel and Star Wars.
With the latest 29.30 update, Epic Games is reportedly collaborating with X-Men '97 to introduce new Fortnite Rocket Racing car skins.
Fortnite and Marvel's X-MEN '97 Collaboration
Epic Games' Rocket League is receiving four new Marvel's X-Men '97 car skins on April 23, 2024. As Fortnite's Rocket Racing is an extension of the Rocket League universe, players can expect the car skins to be available in Fortnite too.
As of Chapter 5 Season 1, many Rocket League skins are available in Fortnite Rocket Racing, Battle Royale, and Zero Build game modes. According to reputed Fortnite leaker HypeX, Fortnite is reportedly adding four new skins based on the following X-Men heroes:
- Cyclops
- Jean Grey
- Jubilee
- Magneto
The new X-Men '97-themed skins might become available in Fortnite's in-game store after their initial release in Rocket League. The car skins will be usable in the Fortnite Rocket Racing, Battle Royale, and Zero Build game modes. The car skins will mainly be available for the default Whiplash vehicle in Fortnite.
The new car skins also leave room for Epic and Marvel's collaboration to introduce new X-Men '97-themed hero skins for Battle Royale and Zero Build. Moreover, considering the possibility of a Marvel-themed season from the 2024 roadmap leak, it will not be surprising to see X-Men '97-themed skins for Wolverine, Cyclops, Magneto, and Jean Grey in the in-game store.
