Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 takes players into the domain of Dr. Doom. The Season 4, titled Absolute Doom, focuses on Marvel villains and heroes including Dr. Doom, Iron Man, War Machine and more.
As a part of the ongoing season, Epic Games has introduced the new Day of Doom limited time mode inspired by the Endgame game mode from Chapter 2. The new Day of Doom LTM pits players into two teams of heroes and villains. Here's a look at how the game mode works in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4.
Day of Doom LTM in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4
In Day of Doom, up to 32 players will join the ultimate battle between good and evil. Players are divided into two teams: Doom’s Henchmen and Allies of the Avengers. Both teams have Health and Shield that regenerate outside of combat. Moreover, both teams are also immune to fall damage and have infinite ammo for all weapons.
Doom’s Henchmen
If you’re on the side of Doom’s henchmen, your aim is to collect Arcane Artifacts. Once you’ve collected all six, your adversaries, the Avengers, will no longer be able to respawn. Eliminate every last hero in play and your team will win.
The first Doom henchman to collect an artifact will become Doom’s Chosen, a near-unstoppable force donning Doom’s armour that can unleash devastating abilities like the Scorch Beam and Mystical Gigabomb. If Doom’s Chosen is defeated, another henchman after a short time will be randomly chosen to wield this immense power.
Here’s everything included in the Doom’s Henchmen loadout:
- Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets
- Combat Assault Rifle (Mythic-rarity)
- Monarch Pistol (only after the first artifact has been acquired; Mythic-rarity)
- Sovereign Shotgun (only after the second artifact has been acquired; Mythic-rarity)
- Shockwave Grenade (unlimited use, with a cooldown)
The Avengers
Taking the side of the Island’s mightiest heroes, your goal is to take down Doom’s forces before they collect all six Arcane Artifacts. Doom’s Henchmen have a large number of respawns altogether; you’ll achieve victory once you and your fellow Avengers have depleted all their reinforcements, including Doom’s Chosen.
Heroes in Day of Doom will have one of four randomly assigned loadouts, each based on a different Avenger:

- War Machine’s Hover Jets
- Stark Industries Energy Rifle (Legendary-rarity)
- Chug Splashes (4x)

- Iron Man’s Combat Kit
- Iron Man’s Flight Kit
- Stark Industries Energy Rifle (Legendary-rarity)
- Hyper SMG (Legendary-rarity)

Here’s everything in the Black Panther Loadout:
- Shuri’s Black Panther Claws
- Striker Assault Rifle (Legendary-rarity)
- Ranger Pistol (Legendary-rarity)
- Rift-To-Gos (2x)

There are no rewards associated with the new Day of Doom LTM. It is a great alternate mode for players to venture into if they get bored with the traditional modes in Fortnite.
