Square Enix's action-adventure is not scheduled to launch on October 11, 2022, for PlayStation and PC.
PlayStation 5 console exclusive Frospoken, which was initially scheduled to launch in May 2022, has been delayed quite significantly by Square Enix and developer Luminous Productions. Forspoken will now launch on October 11, 2022, if everything goes according to plan.
Luminous said in a statement that they need more time to polish the game and deliver the best possible experience to the players.
Here is the statement from the devs in full:
"We have made the decision to move the release date of Forspoken to October 11, 2022. Our vision for this exciting new IP is to deliver a game world and hero that gamers across the globe will want to experience for years to come, so getting it right is extremely important to us.
To that end, during the next few months, we will focus all of our efforts on polishing the game and can't wait for you to experience Frey's journey this fall.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to sharing more about Forspoken with you soon."

Forspoken is announced for PlayStation 5 and PC. Square Enix are yet to talk about the Xbox version but given that this is a timed exclusive for two years, it's possible that it will be coming to Xbox Series X|Sin a couple of years.
