Football Manager 2025 will receive a significant overhaul that many fans may not be prepared for. The traditional Inbox, where all news was received as electronic mail, will be removed.

Football Manager 2025 will receive a radical change that many will not be ready for. Football Manager 2025 has presented some of its novelties and fans of the series will have to get used to the absence of some long-standing features and drastic changes in the user interface.

The first and most important thing in the Championship and Football Manager games has always been the so-called Inbox, the place where all the news were found in the form of electronic mail.

It is therefore a shock that the classic Inbox will no longer be part of Football Manager from this autumn. Instead of it in Sports Interactive's FM25 we will have something called Portal.

Football Manager 25 Portal feature explained

The portal will serve as a central place where various items such as calendars, news, match schedules, daily tasks and messages will be located. Sports Interactive explains that the Inbox concept is outdated because modern football managers today spend more time on mobile phones than on laptops.

Besides losing the classic Inbox, we won't even have a social media screen in Football Manager 2025 (probably no one will be crying for it). More importantly, communication with the team during the match (Touchline Shouts) will also disappear, at least temporarily until Sports Interactive makes a better implementation than before.

Football Manager 2025 will not even have the Create-a-Club option because it is not a priority (only 5% of players use it), but it will also return in FM26 or later. Regarding the other modes and features upon release, there will be no Challenge and Versus modes and Fantasy Draft.
