To celebrate the release of the new Avengers movie, Epic Games introduced a brand new Endgame LTM to Fortnite Battle Royale. In the new mode, you'll be searching for Infinity Stones and stop Thanos and his Chitauri from claiming them.
After a couple of teases by Epic Games, Endgame limited time mode has finally arrived to Fortnite Battle Royale in today's update. In the new mode, you'll get to gather Infinity Stones and fight off Thanos and his Chitauri from getting their hands on them all.
Once the match starts, players will be separated into two teams - Hero and Team Thanos. Heroes will respawn when eliminated until the enemy team has found all six Infinity Stones. The goal of the Hero team is to destroy the Chitauri army and defeat Thanos. To help players with this task, Heroes will start with a treasure map that leads directly to a Mythic Avengers item.
Team Thanos will start with a powerful laser rifle, an anti-structure grenade attack and a jetpack that lets them briefly leap hight into the air. The first Chitauri player to recover an Infinity stone will be transformed into the big villain himself.
Thanos, of course, is much stronger and has a powerful punch, a destructive beam attack and the ability to jump high into the air and smash everything on his way down. Each time you claim one Infinity Stone for Thanos, his abilities will grow more powerful and the rest of his Chitauir will gain health.
- Red Reality Stone - Heath & Shields doubled ( from 1000 to 2000)
- Orange Soul Stone - Siphon activated (grants Thanos shields only)
- Yellow Mind Stone - Jump height doubled
- Blue Space Stone - Ground Pound AOE size tripled, damage x6
- Green Time Stone - Big knockback added to each hit, damage x3
- Purple Power Stone - Laser damage x6
If it happens that Thanos gets eliminated from the match, another Chitauri will become him after a short wait, unless of course, Thanos is the last one standing. The goal for Thanos and his army is to find the stones and then eliminate the remaining heroes.
The new update also includes a lot of other additions such as new modes in Fortnite Creative and changes to weapons and items. You can check the full patch notes for more details.
