It looks like EA and Dice worked on Battlefield Bad Company Remaster at some point in the last decade. However, the project got canned for unknown reasons.
Battlefield fans have been craving for another Bad Company sequel or at least a remaster/remake of the iconic Bad Company 2 for years. Sadly, EA never commented on the matter and Bad Company game still remains just a dream for many players.
However, it looks like the publisher actually had the game in development at some point in the last decade. According to VentureBeat's Jeff Grubb, Battlefield Bad Company Remaster got cancelled.
Now, we do not know whether this is true or not but Grub is a trusted source and a remaster of Bad Company title certainly would not raise any eyebrows. The fans have been requesting it for a long time.
It is possible that EA decided to pull the plug on development and remaster Battlefield 3 instead since recent rumours have been suggesting that Battlefield 3 Remaster is set to launch alongside modern-day Battlefield 6 game.
Keep in mind that these are just rumours at the moment but if Activision and Infinity Ward managed to do it with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remasters and 2019's Modern Warfare, then EA and Dice can surely pull it off with two heavily-requested titles at the same time.
Battlefield 6 is yet to be officially announced but you can check out some early tech showcase here.
