Creators of Batman: Arkham Knight and Arkham Asylum, Rocksteady Studios, are working on a Suicide Squad game, according to latest reports. Apparently, it is a "games as service" title similar to Fortnite and Destiny 2.

Yesterday, we got an official confirmation that WB Games will announce their new games on August 22, 2020, at DCFanDome digital event. Both Rocksteady and WB Games Montreal, creators of Batman Arkham games will finally unveil their new titles and fans hope that one of these new games will be a new Batman game, which has been teased since late 2019.

And while fans of Dark Knight are eager to know more about the new game which is developed by WB Games Montreal, other Batman studio Rocksteady also have new project in the works. According to former Game Informer Editor Imran Khan, this game is Suicide Squad.

Khan claims that he heard the studio were working on a Suicide Squad game a few years ago and that he would not be surprised if the game is a "games as a service" title, meaning that it will get regular seasonal updates similar to Fortnite and Destiny 2 updates style.

Bloomberg's Jason Schreier also teased the game over at ResetEra's Suicide Squad thread. He replied to fans who were concerned with the rumoured "games as a service" model with the following post: "Remember when everyone freaked out about how awful a Mario + Rabbids hybrid sounded and then it turned out to be one of the best games of that year?"

Of course, as always you should wait for the official confirmation before you get excited for the game but Khan and Schreier are two reliable sources and it would be pretty surprising if Suicide Squad did not appear at DCFanDome event.
