BioWare pushes out the third patch for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, continuing post-launch support for the action RPG. While the game won't receive expansions, the studio is striving to improve the experience with updates like this, which introduce new features and further refine gameplay.
Photo Mode has been updated with new filters, which make capturing those cinematographic moments even easier in-game.
Photo Mode has also seen a number of quality-of-life improvements, including simpler naming conventions for screenshot files, showing file paths where images are saved, and more descriptive setting descriptions.
Quality of Life updates
This patch also introduces a number of quality-of-life upgrades. For example, these updates make it possible for players to compare new rings with both equipped slots and identify where enchantments are applied on the companions' gear much more easily.
Notifications regarding merchants, adjustments to weapon icons, and tweaks to in-game settings further enhance it.
Bug fixes
In addition to these features, this patch has fixed numerous bugs. Most of them range from issues in quest progression to glitches in animations, cutscenes, and visual effects.
Specific fixes include correctly displaying facial expressions in certain scenes, resolving stuck companions, and inconsistencies in item stats and enchantments. Refined textures, lighting, and camera functionality further provide an in-game seamless and polished experience.
BioWare has kept them in the know, stating another patch is already in the works and that more information about this will be coming soon. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
This patch just goes to show that BioWare is dedicated to continually cleaning up the title and giving players a rich and fun adventure across the continent of Thedas.
