Dragon Age: The Veilguard, BioWare's newest RPG, features many collectables, with the chest being the most frequent among them. Almost every level houses a significant number of chests, and inside them you'll find all sorts of equipment Rook can use in his adventures.
During the second-to-last chapter, you'll find yourself imprisoned inside the Fade, and while searching for an exit, you'll come across a not-so-ordinary chest with a hefty lock on it and without means to be unlocked, or at least it only seems that way.
If you do not know how to open this chest and pick up the riches it contains, we have a guide that will help you with this endeavour.
How to open the chest in the Fade during the Prison of Regrets mission
This chest is, unlike all other chests in this game, locked with a special padlock, and to open it, you'll have to collect three different mementos scattered around the Fade itself.
All mementos are located in front of the wolf statues, and each of them brings a piece of lore connected to this place, so feel free to read them; you'll learn a lot. The first memento is located to the west. Jump a couple of cliffs, and you'll get there. Once you pick it up, go for the second one, which is located directly to the north of the chest.
The last one is a bit more tricky to find. Go towards the objective marker, but do not follow it up the hill; instead, go down to the left and descend a small path to reach the platform located beneath the main path. The last statue is located just there. If you cannot find the statues and mementos, see the map above for their exact location. Once you collect all three, return to the chest and open it. As always, an interesting piece of gear awaits you inside.
