Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is getting a new specialization - the Firewall. Year 1 Pass holders will get to unlock the new specialization automatically, with some additional cosmetics waiting for them at the end of the Special Field Research.
Ubisoft is launching a new specialization that will be deployed to Division 2 along with its Episode 3. The Firewall specialization will grant the players control over the K8-JetStream Flamethrower as the Signature Weapon.
The Flamethrower will, of course, deal fire damage and inflict the burn effect on its victims. The new specialization will pair up nicely with the Striker Shield skill mod. The match - some pun intended - will allow you to use some weapons, including the Flamethrower, when equipped.
The Striker Shield will also grant you a buff for increased damage. This effect will be extended to your allies that happen to be close by as well. The Firewall will also have its own Specialization tree and a new sidearm - the Firestarter sawed-off shotgun.
Special Field Research:
As it was the case with the previous Year 1 Specializations, you'll want to complete the five stages of in-game challenges to unlock the Firewall Specialization. This will also add the K8-Jetstream Flamethrower to your arsenal.
If you happen to be a proud owner of the Year 1 Pass, the Firewall Specialization will unlock instantly. You can still take part in the Special Field Research and as you progress through the challenges you'll unlock some more cosmetic rewards such as the Firewall Safety Helmet, Shirt, Pants and Mask.
Additionally, you can obtain the Caldera and Basalt Weapon skins, Lava Lake and Tremor Gear dyes and the Mundane Signature Weapon Skin.
