There's a lot going on in Kojima-land these days, as Death Stranding continues to split opinions of players and critics alike, but the dev continues to roll out updates and, strangely enough, another trailer. This one is not eight minutes long though.
As for the 1.08 update, Death Stranding players need to download slightly under 1GB and the notes just mention "various performance improvements". No seriously, that's all it says, so don't expect any early Christmas surprises.
While it's not exactly customary for games to keep up with trailers after launch, Sony don't seem interested in letting up with the promotional campaign just yet. After all, Hideo Kojima's game has mostly been in the news for all the wrong reasons, so why not remind players of the star-studded cast and intricate storyline.
The trailer is called Thriller Short Trailer and it seems to be as cryptic as Kojima's other trailers, except this one is running far shorter than the pre-release ones.
Death Stranding has been quite a polarising game, and IGN's recent indecision and backpedalling on whether to add it to their Game of the Year poll was quite representative of the critical consensus on Death Stranding - it seems to be a love-or-hate game.
Even before that was the case where , and you can see how that would be enough to raise an eyebrow or two, especially with some more zealot-y fans.
While still a PlayStation 4 exclusive, . It will be published by 505 Games but that's as far as the information train goes for the time being.
