Dead by Daylight has grown into one of the most popular online horror titles with a very simple concept: one player is a killer, and four others are the victims trying to survive the night. Everything we wanted to do in those horror movies was not to be stupid and get caught like the horror movie victims—we can in this game.
Being that popular among the players, this game got a lot of crossovers with other popular titles over time, and now, the crossover that has been overdue for so long is actually happening. There have been some rumours lately that Dead by Daylight will get the crossover with The Walking Dead, but now it is officially confirmed.
On the official Dead by Daylight X account, a tweet showcasing a picture with The Walking Dead title and one very powerful message surfaced: "Together, we endure. Alone, we fall."
The Walking Dead is one of the most recognised horror brands of the last two decades that, apart from the ten-season-long TV show and an eight-season-long spin-off, Fear the Walking Dead, also has several games developed by Telltale Games. All this is putting this horror franchise all the way up to one of the fan favourites, so this crossover was really long overdue.
Apart from new characters, we can expect tonnes of new skins and all the accompanying stuff that comes with such crossovers. We are really excited to see how Rick Grimes and the company will fit into this night survival adventure.
One more line added to this tweet, "Learn More Tomorrow," suggests that the official announcement can be expected tomorrow, July 8, 2025.
