Event Horizon folks are trying to introduce a few exciting things in Dark Envoy that no other RPG has.
Since the genre became extremely populated over the course of the years, it became quite hard to come up with something unique but it appears that Dark Envoy has an ace up its sleeve with the hand-drawn skills.
They are exactly what the name implies - the player gets to draw the skill mid-combat.
Granted, there are some limitations as a player's imagination would quickly overcome every single obstacle a video game can pose in modern times so you don't actually create the entirety of the ability.
Instead, the ability has its functionality and the player can dynamically alter it by drawing it on the battlefield. For example, an icy spear spell may end up hitting multiple targets in a cone if you decide to draw it that way but it could also hit the same target multiple times if you don't stretch it out.
Other abilities will simply change their direction, like the Fire Wall and High Wall. Should the player notice an enemy is about to move somewhere they are not supposed to, simply erect one of the walls in any direction you like to prevent movement.
Fire Wall will damage those passing through while the High Wall obstructs vision and prevents movement beyond it altogether.
