Developer Beenox have detailed the singleplayer campaign of their upcoming Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. According to the devs, in Adventure mode, players will explore the map and complete challenges before they confront Nitros Oxide.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is just around the corner and the developer Beenox are regularly fueling the hype train with new gameplay footage, announcements and details about what exactly can players expect one the ultimate remake arrives on consoles.
In their latest blog post and trailer, Beenox detailed the game's beloved single player campaign, which you may also know as Adventure Mode. The devs say that their goal was to stay true to the original as close as possible but also add some changes, to improve the mode's overall quality and depth.
Just like the original, the Adventure Mode has players explore the map, take on various challenges - trophy races, boss races, relic races, token races, and gem cups. You'll get to choose from numerous characters including Crash, Coco, Cortex, Polar, Pura, Tiny or any of the other you remember from the original.
The big difference from the original is that instead of just earning the boss characters, you can now earn new kart parts, character skins or kart customisation items every time you win a race. Also, you'll earn the boss characters immediately after you beat that particular boss, instead of after Gem Cups, which will also unlock a new set of prizes. Nitros Oxide himself is included but earning him won't be an easy task.
And last but not least, you will have the opportunity to change to any kart, racer or customisation item you have unlocked at any point in the Adventure Mode. This means that you can pick the drivers that have certain advantages on certain maps. Pura in Tiger Temple, Crash in Crash Cove for example.
A huge emphasis is set on earning new items, characters, karts to make players feel like they are always appropriately rewarded for each race.
