Counter-Strike 2 is not having a good time after its recent launch due to a large number of features, maps and game modes being removed in comparison to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, which it replaced.
The problems might continue with the recent statement that AMD GPU users can get banned if they use a new feature introduced with 23.10.1 driver version.
Namely, the feature is called Anti-Lag+ and it already existed but only the latest drivers added support for Counter-Strike 2.
In response, Valve announced they would issue VAC bans to players who use it, which had quite a few players scratching their heads. It is not a cheat as it only improves the user's experience without giving an unfair advantage.
As it turns out, the feature alters the game's DLL functions which is problematic when it comes to CS. It is for this reason that Valve will issue bans and as such - simply not using the feature will keep you safe.
Additionally, Valve noted that they will work with AMD after the next driver release in order to figure out which players were affected by the issue and withdraw their VAC bans.
This should come as a good bit of reassurance to banned players as VAC bans are usually irreversible. Once all this is done, players should be able to continue playing the game with no additional issues.
