New World is celebrating Halloween 2023 from October 18 to November 14, leaving almost a month for the players to obtain associated cosmetics and partake in the festivities.
This year, Amazon Game Studios added four costumes for everyone to enjoy in the open world, including Commander Thorpe, Adiana, Anubian Reaver and Lost Monarch.
Upon using a costume, players will be able to go trick-or-treating by looting hidden baskets across major towns. These have 10 per cent chance to yield Baalphazu armour pieces and are guaranteed to give out Nightveil Tokens three times a day. The daily reset is at 5:00 AM local time.
Baalphazu returns once more as a world boss and he will be dropping armour pieces, costumes and Ichor, the first two being limited to five and three drops a day.
Bringing Ichor to Salvatore in the main cities will give you Neightveil Hallow Caches which contain:
- 5 Nightveil Tokens
- 2 Random Nightveil Hallow weapon patterns
- Access to the Nightveil Sentinel section of the Event Shop
Additionally, you can trade Ichor for Nightveil Cauldron Caches which contain:
- 7-13 Nightveil Tokens
- 1 Random Nightveil Hallow weapon pattern
- Coin Bag (3 times daily)
- 1 White Gypsum
