This week's edition of UK's all formats chart has seen Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, FIFA 19 and Assassin's Creed: Odyssey stay rooted to their places, unfazed by the two newcomers to the top 10 - Lego DC Super Villains and Soulcalibur VI.

Having launched on 12 October 2018, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 didn't waste much time climbing to the top of UK's all formats chart and it doesn't seem like Treyarch and Beenox will be easing off the gas pedal anytime soon. No singleplayer campaign? No problem.

The game racked up $500 million in just three days , which is among the best results in the franchise, second only to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's $550 million. Granted, in terms of physical sales, Black Ops 4 has had the slowest start since 2007's Modern Warfare, although it's safe to chalk that off to digital sales taking over.

EA's FIFA 19 retained last week 's second place and the same goes for Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Odyssey's third. Spider-Man has jumped two places and sits in fourth, as Insomniac Games rolled out the highly anticipated New Game Plus mode and even added stickers of cartoony puddles, so that players can arrange for their own puddlegate .

Forza Horizon 4 stayed in fifth place, while our first newcomer to the top 10, Lego DC Super-Villains came in sixth. The later is Traveller's Tales and Warner Bros' take on the villainous part of the DC universe and has arrived just in time to take up the mantle from Lego The Incredibles, which has recently drifted out of the top 10.

Super Mario Party kept its seventh place while the second newcomer to the list, Bandai Namco's fighting game Soulcalibur VI, came in eighth. It is said that Soulcalibur VI's sales are as much as 55 per cent down compared to its predecessor, although this seems to be becoming a common theme for physical sales of just about every newly launched game. Also, it's got Geralt in it, so there's that.

As usual, take note that the chart doesn't take digital sales into account. That being said, the top 10 list looks like this:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
  • FIFA 19
  • Assassin's Creed: Odyssey
  • Spider-Man
  • Forza Horizon 4
  • Lego DC Super-Villains
  • Super Mario Party
  • Soulcalibur VI
  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider
