Pearl Abyss updated Black Desert Mobile with the long-awaited feature that lets players unlock even more skills. Ascension system is available to all classes in the game.
Black Desert Mobile has several systems that unlock throughout the levelling of the characters and sometimes they vary between the classes. For example, Shai's Awakening is a bit different than that of the other classes.
However, the new Ascension system will be the same for everyone. It has kicked in on 25 February 2020 and is available to all classes with no exception.
Players who are looking for Ascension will get to keep the same main and sub-weapons as the base class of the character. Once they reach level 60, they can ascend the class by completing an associated quest. There is a total of five skills that can be unlocked after completing the quests, with an additional skill that can be unlocked after reaching level 70.
These skills will behave differently from those of the base class apparently, complete with new effects and better performance. Furthermore, Ascension skill books can be acquired in some zones, including Omar Lava Cave and Soldier's Grave but Pearl Abyss stated that the drop rate will be low.
Before ascending, all of the character's skills from each class are added together to make up attack power, defensive strength and health. Meanwhile, the ascension tech tree will behave differently from the base system and will apply effectiveness and skill upgrades directly into the class of choice.
Players can now use Alchemy Stones. These are equippable items that buff the players' stats, giving them increased attack, defence, better drop rates or ability to level up weapons or gear, depending on what the player chooses.
While a character can possess more than one stone, only one can be active at any given time. Players can obtain these in Ancient Ruins or crafted with alchemy stone fragments in the Alchemy Labs.
