NetherRealm Studios are slowly revealing more kombatants ahead of Mortal Kombat 11's release on 23 April 2019. The newest trailer shows off Johnny Cage and Sonya's daughter Cassie Cage with her upgraded looks compared to Mortal Kombat X.

One would think trickshots would be reserved for the gunslinger Erron Black, but being Sonya's daughter, Cassie seems to have inherited a knack for extreme accuracy with her guns. This is shown at one point in the trailer above as she shoots Kano by ricocheting the bullets off of her drone.

It was confirmed in Mortal Kombat X that Sonya's abilities aren't the only ones Cassie inherited since Johnny Cage's power to pull shadow attacks and even infuse her guns with it. The trailer demonstrates this as Cassie keeps shooting through Kano and you can see the projectiles having the signature green "Cage" glow.

Another important part of Cassie's kit seems to be her drone which she often uses as she grapples Kano and the drone strikes him mid-air. It is currently unknown whether a fatality will be tied to it as the one shown in the trailer simply utilised the guns and Cassie's superhuman strength as she delivered an incredibly painful kick, pictured below.

Regarding Cassie's appearance, she has changed her haircut so it doesn't feature any buzz cut and has a long tail now, much like Sonya. Their appearances are different enough though and it is not hard to distinguish mother from daughter.

More importantly, Cassie's facial features have been vastly improved and she doesn't look like a motionless mannequin. Technically, it wasn't that bad in Mortal Kombat X, but when compared to this trailer, do indeed look dated.

Some players will likely get a chance to play as Cassie in the upcoming stress test on Xbox One that will happen on 15 March 2019. It will be available only for a few selected players but a beta test will be available on 28 March 2019 for those who preordered the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. PC players will have to wait until mid-April for the official launch.
