Activision have officially announced the date for the nuke event that will bring major changes the existing Verdansk map. The date is set for April 21, 2021.
Call of Duty Warzone's Verdansk map is set to receive its biggest overhaul since the game launched in March 2020. Activision plan to introduce changes to the map via a nuke event, which has been teased over the last couple of weeks. Basically, nukes will drop on Verdansk, which will result in new landmarks on the map, as well as the removal of the current locations.
And today, we finally have the exact date for the nuke event. It's happening next week on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, 12:00 PM PT / 09:00 PM CET, Activision officially announced via their social media channels.
At the moment, we're not really sure how exactly will the event pan out since Activision have been keeping their cards close to their chest ever since we found out about the nuke event. Some leaked screenshots revealed that the stadium is one of the locations set for a makeover but other than that, the details are pretty scarce.
One thing is for certain, though, Verdansk is here to stay as it seems that Activision have given up on map change and will stick to the "Fortnite-style" changes in the future. However, this could change with the next major Call of Duty title but at the moment, there is nothing official so take the speculation and such rumours with a grain of salt.
