Activision is bringing us the good news regarding Season 01 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, promising an array of thrilling additions to this popular shooter. In a move to enhance the gaming experience, three brand-new maps are set to join the lineup, complementing the sixteen remastered maps carried over from the acclaimed Modern Warfare 2 (2009). Activision has confirmed that the popular Gunfight mode is making a bold return, Zombies mode is receiving a substantial update, and the anticipated arrival of Urzikstan in Call of Duty: Warzone will become available as well.
The Season 01 update introduces two new maps right from the start. "Meat" challenges players to become the top butcher on a compact map centred around the East Bay Meats slaughterhouse. "Greece," a medium-sized Mediterranean-inspired map based on a coastal town, beckons players to prove their prowess. Additionally, the Rio map will debut during the Season 01 Reloaded update, offering intense battles through an upscale shopping centre with vibrant colours and tight quarters.
Gunfight, the ever-popular 2v2 mode, is set to make a triumphant return with an all-new map called "Training Facility." This map features a training course with a central shoot house and ample climbing opportunities, providing an exhilarating challenge for players.
The fans of Zombies mode have something to look forward to with Season 01, as it brings exciting updates to the mode. Players can expect to confront Dark Aether Rifts, engaging in a sinister and chaotic challenge against the clock. The update also introduces unique acquisition schematics that add a layer of challenge to unlock. To top it off, players can secure the V-R11 Wonder Weapon, capable of turning every impacted enemy into an ally.
For fans of Call of Duty: Warzone, the December update is set to unveil Urzikstan, a highly anticipated map with a massive scale and distinct Verdansk vibes. Activision has also confirmed that Warzone will incorporate Modern Warfare 3's movement mechanics, including slide cancelling and 'Tac Stance,' promising an immersive and dynamic gameplay experience. The season is shaping up to be an exciting time for Call of Duty enthusiasts, with a fusion of nostalgia and fresh content.
