Activision and Infinity Ward rolled out the latest patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the emotions seem mixed. Even though it's supposed the biggest free content drop in CoD ever, it also removed a fan favourite - Shoot House 24/7.
For starters, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players on Xbox One will need to download 18GB, while PC players are slightly above that at 20GB.
As for the changes, Infinity Ward removed Gun Game, which will be available in Private Match, Shoot House 24/7 and 2v2 Gunfight Tournament.
Many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare fans are quite vocal about the removal of Shoot House 24/7, seeing as how it was probably the most played, but the dev tried to compensate that by throwing in another iconic offering in Crash 24/7. The dev also added Reinforce and Port to Ground War.
Ramazza and Gun Runner were added to TDM 20 and DOM 20, while Hardcore TDM, Search and Destroy, and Cyber Attack all got night maps.
In terms of weapon changes, .357's Buckshot had its damage range reduced, and the same goes for the effective hip fire damage. Also tweaked was the spread effect from barrel attachments.
As for the rest, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Riot Shields were touched up for reduced explosive damage within some ranges, and the way they protect against grenades at players' feet was tuned too.
If you're a beast of a player and you're getting sick of invites, you'll be glad to hear that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare leaderboards will now hide complete gamertags.
