Modern Warfare open beta will offer a lot of carnage

Activision and Infinity Ward have released a launch trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and as expected, it's packed with explosions, action and heavy metal.

Infinity Ward's shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is just around the corner now and if everything goes as planned, the upcoming instalment will bring much-needed changes and refreshment to a franchise which didn't really offer a lot of new things in the last few years.

Call of Duty usually stick to the beaten path and a well-known formula but Modern Warfare is set to change that with an emphasis on realistic gunfights and brand new game modes. The new launch trailer comes two weeks before the official release date, and it kinda reminds us of the days when Call of Duty franchise had memorable characters and stories, rather than dull and weak campaigns.

It has everything one could expect from a Call of Duty trailer. It's packed with action, guns, explosions and heavy metal music. Infinity Ward and Activision took the things one step further and got the rights for Metallica's legendary song - Enter Sandman. It safe to say it suits the trailer perfectly.

Just like in some previous trailer, we have helicopters and exploding helicopters, stealthy night vision views and characters talking about how all of us are a little crazy. It's everything we're used to getting from Call of Duty trailers and a bit more.

All in all, it remains to be seen if Metallica and iconic characters help the new Call of Duty game retake the throne. The recent loot boxes and PS4 exclusive missions controversy is not helping the game and players will certainly appreciate a bit more honesty from Activision.
