Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players might want to free up some space on their PlayStation 5 consoles. The game's database just became home to a couple of hefty High-Resolution packs.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War just got a pretty chunky batch of packs uploaded to its database.
As they stand now, the High-Resolution Packs will eat up a significant piece of the fans' disk space if the powers that be don't compress the files before they are rolled out to the general public. All told, the uncompressed High-Resolution Packs will take up around 30 GB of additional space.

Fans react to the new High-Resolution Packs for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
Seems like the news has split the fanbase down the middle.
Some look at the new lot of high-resolution files as completely unnecessary as the game already "runs at 4K with 60 FPS and Ray Tracing or 4K with 120 FPS and no Ray Tracing on PS5 and it looks pretty good."
The opposing camp is excited to get to play their favourite Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War maps with better-looking assets on PlayStation 5.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War High-Resolution Packs release date
No official news has been shared regarding the packs' release date, but the improved visuals could drop as soon as the next patch.
