Eight Call of Duty fans are working on unofficial remaster for Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. The team has just shared some impressive screenshots of beloved maps Rust and Terminal.
Along with the release of the recent Call of Duty Modern Warfare title, Activision decided to remaster the old Modern Warfare 2 title and offer it to players in an ultimate modern-day setting bundle. Fans of Modern Warfare 2, which is considered as one of the best Call of Duty titles, hoped that Activision also remaster the multiplayer mode but sadly, the singleplayer campaign was all we got last year.
And it seems that some Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer fans were so disappointed with this decision that they decided to start working on their own remaster. A team of eight fans who regularly post updates over at their Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Remastered Discord server have released screenshots, showcasing the visual changes that have been made to the game.
As you can see in the images, the team did a pretty good job with Terminal and Rust. They also plan to remaster a total of nine maps but did not mention what these maps are outside of the mentioned fan-favourites.
We guess Favela, Afghan and Estate will probably be included in the remaster. Our personal favourite - Wasteland - could also make an appearance. Modern Warfare 2 certainly had a ton of fantastic and memorable maps so fans should be happy with the team's choices.
