FPS fans wishing for more action reminiscent of Doom and similar games now have Bloodhound to look forward to and they can try it out at no cost.

Flint & Kruger announced the high-octane FPS Bloodhound kind of out of nowhere and the game is initially releasing in 2022 for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S while PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 are getting it in 2023. Furthermore, PC players can already try it out via demo on Steam .

The game has also received a trailer if you don't want to jump into the demo blindly. Checking the video embedded below will give you an idea on what to expect from this bullet fest. At the same time, the devs are running a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter , which is supposed to finance further development of the game.

While this is the first game from the team at Flint & Krueger, the group consists of veterans who have previously worked on games like Dying Light 2, Witchfire and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3.

According to the studio, Doom, Quake and Painkiller served as the main inspiration for the title, which makes sense due to the general tone of the game looking highly reminiscent of all three of them.

When the final version gets launched, the game will have a campaign that consists of four acts in total, each with diverse horror-inspired locations.

There will also be 15 types of enemies, four bosses and 10 types of weapons to choose from. Some of them sound like a lot of fun, for example, there is a chainsaw with a flamethrower attachment.
