Bloober Team has revealed a new gameplay montage for Cronos: The New Dawn, offering a deeper look at their atmospheric sci-fi horror game ahead of its Fall 2025 launch. The title was previously confirmed to be in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with a Mac release also in the plans.
Known for their work on the Silent Hill 2 Remake, Bloober Team’s latest project dives into a bleak, post-apocalyptic future filled with grotesque threats and psychological tension.
The newly released footage highlights the game’s visceral combat and its unique “Merge” mechanic—an unsettling feature where enemies called Orphans can absorb fallen creatures to mutate into even more deadly forms. Players must burn their corpses quickly to prevent these horrifying transformations.
About Cronos: The New Dawn
Cronos: The New Dawn is a third-person horror action game combining time-travel mechanics with intense combat and psychological storytelling. Developed by Bloober Team, the game features a dual-timeline narrative and a hauntingly detailed world.
Players will step into the shoes of a Traveller, an operative for a shadowy organisation known as the Collective. Their mission is to extract and digitise the souls of key individuals before humanity reaches total collapse.
The game launches in Fall 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a Mac version following later in the year.
