Black Desert Online's New Year celebration starts today, 31 December 2019 and will go on well into January of 2020. The event will bring numerous rewards for in-game quests, as well as daily log-in rewards. Item drop rates will increase by 50 per cent.
Black Desert Online is gearing up to celebrate the New Year's. The dev team has prepared a host of in-game events themed around the holiday and if you decide to take part, there will be many rewards and items in it for you.
Take heed, Adventurers: you can get exclusive gifts on New Year’s Day (31 December 2019) by visiting the NPC Lara in Velia. You can also earn a Box Full of Wishes by completing the Black Spirit quest chain, speaking with Lara, and flying a Wish Lantern near Coastal Cliff.
Doing all this and opening the box will award you "50–100 of a particular item". The item can be anything from Hard Black Crystal Shards to Cron Stones - things that will help kick-start your adventures in the new year.
Special log-in rewards are also here, and they will be staying until 15 January 2020. Sign in to the game each day to nab some practical items that include Advice of Valks, Hard Black Crystal Shards, and Cron Stones.
In addition to all this, the New Year Hot Time event will offer unusual in-game buffs, where the players will be able to level up their classes by receiving Combat and Skill EXP buffs throughout the week. An even larger EXP boost will be available from Friday to Sunday.
Lastly, Pearl Abyss strongly encourages the Adventurers of Black Desert Online to try hunting, auto-fishing and fighting World Bosses - this will grant you various rewards. All item drop rates, as well as your chances to obtain items from defeating monsters, will be increased by 50 per cent until 8 January 2020.
The auto-fishing times will also be 50 per cent faster during this time.
