According to the latest rumours, Battlefield 6 will take inspiration from fan-favourite Battlefield 3. Additionally, the game could be titled simply "Battlefield" and it's coming to PS4 and Xbox One too.
This year, we will finally get a brand new Battlefield game, which should be coming sometime during Holiday season. According to earlier rumours, the game will return to modern-day setting, which is something that many players are looking forward to.
Today, we have some new rumours about Battlefield 6, coming from reliable insider Tom Henderson, who is a well-known source for all things Call of Duty and Battlefield. In his latest video, Henderson shared a couple of new information regarding the game. You can check out the video in full just below but here's a quick breakdown of all new info in case you are not able to watch the video:
Henderson states that Battlefield 6 will be heavily influenced by Battlefield 3 and could be titled simply "Battlefield". It's a soft reboot of the series, as mentioned before and will emphasise large scale battles with maps that support up to 128 players.
Additionally, he claims that the game is also scheduled to release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, meaning it won't be an exclusive for next-gen consoles. Henderson states that PS4 and Xbox One version will only have 32 vs 32 game modes with some graphical downgrades and limited destruction.
Apparently, the PS4 and Xbox One version of the game is in development "by a different studio or a different part of the same studio", which suggests EA are taking both versions of the game seriously.
Last but not least, a battle-royale mode for Battlefield 6 was in development. It seems EA are impressed with the success of Call of Duty Warzone and want to try and bring a much better battle royale experience with Battlefield 6. Let's just hope it doesn't end up like Firestorm.
While everything you just read does seem realistic and Henderson is a reliable source, we suggest you take it with a grain of salt, just like any other rumour or unconfirmed info.
