Electronic Arts has shared new information on what players can expect from the Nightfall event coming to Battlefield 6 as part of Season 2. The temporary mode will offer players a new level of tactical darkness in the REDSEC Nightfall mode as they utilise tactical gear and equipment to outlast their opponents.
Nightfall will begin March 17 alongside the beginning of Battlefield 6‘s next free trial period. Players will square off on the Hagental Base map during the Nightfall event. This map is described as one used by “elite squads to train for gritty subterranean warfare.”
Players can expect areas of the map to be affected by darkness as large sections of the base are left in complete darkness due to a power failure. Also, they can make use of equipment such as NVGs, Flashlights and Thermal optic.
Multiple Modes in the Nightfall Playlist
Teams will have access to multiple multiplayer modes on Hagental Base during the Nightfall playlist. Matches will feature close-quarters combat within the base's subterranean levels.
Modes included:
- Team Deathmatch
- Squad Deathmatch
- Domination
In addition to the Nightfall playlist, players can square off against each other in Gauntlet: Nightfall. In this REDSEC controlled mode, teams will need to hunt down other players and rise through the ranks while surviving in these vision impaired combat zones.
Battlefield 6 Free Trial Begins March 17
Fans who want to try out the game will also have that opportunity starting this weekend with Battlefield 6 Free Trial, which will be available between March 17 and March 24.
The Free Trial will include:
- 6 multiplayer modes
- 4 maps including Hagental Base
