DICE have confirmed that the next update for Battlefield 2042, which includes the scoreboard feature, will be released in early March, not mid-February.
EA DICE have revealed via Battlefield Direct Communication Twitter that the scoreboard feature is delayed to early March when the team plans to release the next update for Battlefield 2042.
The scoreboard feature was initially planned for a release in mid-February but the dev team need more time for testing and polishing.
"Our next Update after today's Hotfix will now roll out in early March. This is a change from our last messaging to you all on its intended release. The extra time will help to ensure we improve the quality of our Updates, and include additional changes."
The scoreboard update will refresh the existing Scoreboard UI with a brand new section that showcases how players are stacking up across the server in terms of kills, deaths and points. Here's how the scoreboard should look in Battlefield 2042 after the update.
DICE said they will be adding improvements to the scoreboard after the update rolls out so expect additional fine-tuning and changes down the line. "Expect to see us iterate on this further once it’s live in game, and we look forward to your feedback once this new Scoreboard goes live in February."
After a rocky launch, many players have been disappointed with Battlefield 2042 and have already moved on to something else. The game's player count does not look healthy on any platform but hopefully, with much-needed updates and improvements, Battlefield 2042 will manage to redeem itself in the near future.
Battlefield 2042 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
