Battlefield 2042 open beta dates are yet to be officially announced by DICE and EA, but it seems that early September is when the testing will kick off.
EA and DICE already confirmed that they will be hosting an open beta test for their upcoming shooter Battlefield 2042 but they did not say when exactly the beta is set to kick off. The official info was that the beta will be sometime in September 2021 and today, we have a couple of rumours that suggest a September 4, 2021, start date.
Now, keep in mind, these are just rumours and not the official info. If the open beta is indeed starting on September 4, we assume that this is an early access start date for those who pre-ordered the game - early access to the Open Beta is one of the pre-order bonuses for Battlefield 2042.
So, if this is the early access beta date, the true open beta should start a day or two after that, presumably September 5 or September 6.
If the beta is starting over the weekend, then the official announcement is probably imminent - expect it in the coming days.
We are also awaiting details on the available maps and weapons in the beta. The technical alpha featured the Orbital map, and it's entirely possible that this map will be in the upcoming beta too.
Battlefield 2042 is launching October 22, 2021, for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
