Battle Academia skins are returning to League of Legends in 2026, as Riot Games confirm their plans to bring back the popular skin universe at some point next year.
Battle Academia was first released in 2019 and became one of Riot Games’ most recognizable and popular skin universes due to its heavy anime influence and over-the-top visual design.
From their school-themed costumes to their big spell effects and cartoonish ultimate animations, the Battle Academia skins clearly pulled inspiration from several popular shonen anime series. Over the years, Riot has managed to maintain the popularity of the skins, which have been praised for having strong character designs and flashy aesthetics.
Battle Academia’s history in League of Legends
Battle Academia has had a very strong history since its original release in League of Legends. The skins were praised for not just being reskins but pushing the fantasy of the champions in interesting ways.
Representing the champions as high level students at a powerful academy, Battle Academia helped to form a strong cohesion across the champion roster while also allowing the champion’s individual personalities to take center stage.
As was the case in 2019, the skins Riot releases from Battle Academia in 2026 are almost certain to perform well, as the skin line has a track record of being one of Riot’s more reliable cosmetic options whenever it returns.

Release date
Exact release date is yet to be announced by Riot Games for these skins to all regions, but a few community leaks and insiders have revealed that they are set to be released in Season 1: For Demacia in 2026.
Meaning they should be coming out sometime early in the year and might come with the January or February patch, as seen in previous skin lines that had their launch around Season events or big patches.
Price
Battle Academia skins have often been in the mid to high range for skins, mainly due to the higher res model and splash, similar skins in the Battle Academia line have been around 1350 RP, while other detailed legendary variants were 1820RP, though early leaks seem to confirm that both Briar and Samira are Epic skins, being in the lower price range.
